SHERMAN, Texas (Sept. 28, 2026) — Less than one year after reopening, Red River ER & Hospital has been named the “Best Emergency Room” in Texoma in the Herald Democrat’s 2026 Best of Texoma awards. The recognition highlights the emergency department team’s commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing health care throughout the North Texas-Southern Oklahoma area.
Presented annually by Herald Democrat, the Best of Texoma awards recognize organizations and individuals that make a positive impact in the Texoma communities. Nominees are submitted by the public, and community members vote through an open-ballot process conducted over a two-month period.
“What makes this recognition so meaningful is how quickly our team has earned the confidence of this community,” said Amy Coffman, MSN, RN, CEN, Chief Nursing Officer at Red River ER & Hospital. “In less than a year, we’ve built something special together.
